Overnight in Amman
On your second day in Jordan, prepare for an unforgettable journey as we take you to two of the country’s most iconic destinations: Jerash and the Dead Sea. This day is packed with ancient history, breathtaking landscapes, and unique experiences that showcase the best of Jordan.
First, we’ll visit Jerash, one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman cities in the Middle East. Step back in time as you stroll through the ancient Street of Columns, admire the majestic Hadrian’s Arch, and explore the two stunning Roman theaters. Jerash is a treasure trove of Jordan’s rich history and a must-see for anyone passionate about ancient civilizations and archaeological wonders.
Next, we’ll travel through the picturesque Jordan Valley, following the path of the Jordan River, until we arrive at one of the world’s most extraordinary natural wonders—the Dead Sea. Did you know the Dead Sea is the lowest point on Earth, sitting at 400 meters below sea level? Its mineral-rich waters, with a salt content eight times higher than most oceans, allow you to float effortlessly. Floating in the Dead Sea is a bucket-list experience and a highlight of any trip to Jordan.
After a day filled with history, culture, and natural beauty, we’ll return to Amman for a relaxing evening, where you can reflect on the day’s adventures.
On your third day in Jordan, embark on a captivating journey through history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes as we travel from Amman to the legendary city of Petra. Along the way, we’ll explore some of Jordan’s most iconic sites, including Madaba, Mount Nebo, and the Kerak Crusader Castle.
Our first stop is Madaba, the “City of Mosaics,” located along the historic Kings Highway and west of the Dead Sea. This charming town is home to the famous 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land, beautifully preserved on the floor of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. Madaba’s rich history and vibrant mosaics make it a must-visit destination for travelers exploring Jordan.
Next, we’ll visit Mount Nebo, just 10 kilometers west of Madaba. This sacred site is believed to be the place where Moses glimpsed the Promised Land before his passing. From the summit, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and even the rooftops of Jerusalem on a clear day. Mount Nebo is a place of profound spiritual significance and a highlight of any trip to Jordan.
Continuing south along the Kings Highway, we’ll arrive at the Kerak Crusader Castle, a massive fortress that stands as a testament to the region’s medieval history. Built in the 12th century, this imposing structure features underground galleries, secret passageways, and thick defensive walls that once protected Crusader soldiers. Explore the castle’s fascinating history and imagine the battles that took place within its walls over 100 years ago.
After a day filled with exploration, we’ll make our way to Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and Jordan’s most iconic destination. Your overnight stay in Petra will prepare you for an unforgettable adventure into this ancient Nabatean city.
Overnight in Petra
Your fourth day in Jordan is dedicated to exploring one of the most awe-inspiring destinations in the world—Petra, the “Rose-Red City” and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After an unforgettable experience in Petra, we’ll return to Amman for your overnight stay.
Petra is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating sights in Jordan and a New Seven Wonder of the World. This ancient city, carved into the rose-red sandstone cliffs by the Nabateans over 2,000 years ago, is a masterpiece of architectural brilliance and historical significance. As you walk through the narrow Siq, a dramatic canyon pathway, you’ll be greeted by the iconic Treasury (Al-Khazneh), Petra’s most famous monument. Continue exploring to discover the Royal Tombs, the Roman Theater, and the Monastery (Ad-Deir), each showcasing the ingenuity and artistry of the Nabatean civilization.
Petra’s breathtaking beauty and rich history make it a must-visit destination for travelers seeking adventure, culture, and wonder. After a full day of exploration, we’ll journey back to Amman, where you can relax and reflect on the incredible experiences of your trip.
